Do you follow a lot of crochet designers? I do! I am lucky to have made some awesome friends in this business, and I love following all of them. Every designer brings something unique to the table, and seeing all of the creativity (from designers AND their fans) is so amazing!

Tutu Cute – No-Sew Tutorial
Sometimes I think that my creations need a little something extra…like a fluffy tutu!! I thought of this especially for Poppy the Sweet Piggy. She’s already so super enchanting with her rosy cheeks, flowers, and purse, but I really thought she needed something else. Something special. So I asked my friend Courtney of 3 Hoots Boutique to help me out with a quick tutorial for a simple, no-sew tutu.
Heart and Sole
If you’re like me, then you love creating fun and colorful slippers or booties for your little ones. They’re just so much fun to make!! I love that you can alter the personality of each pair by simply changing yarn color.
However, crocheted booties and slippers do have their limitations. Sometimes they might not be squishy and supportive enough…or maybe they’re too slippery for non-carpeted floors. I’ve found a few ways to help with these issues, along with my friends Shannon and Courtney.

Safety Eyes and Other Supplies
One of the most commonly asked questions in my Facebook Group is where to purchase safety eyes and other amigurumi supplies.
I like to use a wide variety of sizes of safety eyes in my projects. Sometimes I use a small eye – 6mm. Other times I use big eyes – 21mm. Here are a few online shops that I’ve had great experiences with.
I love yarn…and I’m guessing you do, too!! One of the things I like most about yarn is that it comes in so many different sizes or weights. Yarn can vary from a fiber as thin as thread to one as thick as rope. And you can crochet with all of it!
Bliss the Bird Pillow – NEW April CAL
Happy April! Spring is finally here, and I couldn’t be happier to share my new design for this month’s CAL – Bliss the Bird Pillow! Bliss is a sweet little bird, not too big and not too small. You can customize the colors to your pleasure to bring joy to any home!
Embroidery Stitches Videotutorial
Using simple embroidery stitches in your crochet work is a great way to add beautiful detail to a piece. My friend Courtney is going to talk to us about a few different stitches that you might like to use to add embellishments to your work – the French Knot (which I use in the Lucy and Linus Baby Twins pattern), Chain Stitch, and Cross Stitch. She is also going to walk us through embroidering a nose on a face (she happens to be sewing a bear from the Sweet Dreams Teddy Bear Mobile pattern).
I hope you find this video helpful and informative!! Happy crocheting (and embroidering)!
